Love hearing about these examples from and the reminder that sometimes "messy" is just what we need! #CoreChat

A2: I didn't set myself up for this question with my last answer, so, I will innovate! Some of the BEST learning experiences I've ever had were messy, full of failure, but also conducted in a way that it was ok to stumble as long as I got back up and carried on. #corechat twitter.com/TheSocialCore/…

Thanks for sharing that, Paula! So amazing - I love that discovery and experiments. We have designed an "inquiry week" in our district, and it has been so fun to see the learning in that space! #CoreChat

A1: When I think of innovation in learning, I think of discovery and experiments...but also that the discovery and experiments are many times part of a process of repeated efforts...some of which didn't turn out the way we hoped they initially would. #corechat twitter.com/TheSocialCore/…

I love the use of exemplars to help students also understand the value of feedback with a correlation to actual work!

A4: 1/3 This kindergarten class demonstrates three different ways they can use a shared learning progression. The examples on the progression bring the success criteria to life & help the learners analyze work & set goals. bit.ly/KWritingProg1 #CoreChat @TheSocialCore

So true! And we use these with Learning intentions and success criteria that can be co-constructed with our learners.

A2: A deep understanding of the learning progression helps us know WHY a specific grade/course standard was written. When we plan with the progression in mind, we are thinking about progress & can establish checkpoints with exemplars to clarify & agree on proficiency. #CoreChat
