    There are sectors of the digital news ecosystem with far greater reach and impact on regular people than Twitter, yet tend to be overlooked by most research. YouTube is one of them. Glad to see this work.

    But, as Ashooh from just noted, “If we can take it down automatedly, that’s a big help" to an under-resourced content moderation team. The difference between giant companies and small ones participating in the hash database is potentially huge.

    Monika Bickert says FB uses automation to flag content for review “in a small number of areas” but also that they’re working on expanding that but also that challenges of context limit the ability of AI to solve these problems but also “we’re investing in it”.
