    Look from above how right lane widens to the parking lane. All but invites the AP to follow the right line into the back of the first parked car: the Police SUV.

    This morning a Tesla sedan driving outbound Laguna Canyon Road in “autopilot” collides with a parked unit. Officer was not in the unit at the time of the crash and minor injuries were sustained to the Tesla driver.

    Poor - I made a typo in the twitter handle and referenced the wrong account. is the correct one. Rosanne is probably getting a lot of misdirected wrath on twitter this morning.

    The thing about the tweet by is that it didn't just result in repercussions for her with the show being canceled, but for the entire cast and crew who were counting on the paychecks the show provided.

    Because of , USA Today decided to run a separate version of their website for EU users, which has all the tracking scripts and ads removed. The site seemed very fast, so I did a performance audit. How fast the internet could be without all the junk! 🙄 5.2MB → 500KB

    The vehicle operator is relied on to intervene and take action when car is in autopilot and is NOT designed to alert the operator. But in this case the driver intervened less than a second before the crash and only began to brake after impact.

    Uber self-driving car detected woman walking bike across road 6 seconds before impact but classified her as "unknown object." 1.3 seconds before impact it determined "an emergency braking maneuver was needed" but emergency brake maneuvers are disabled when car is on autopilot

    Not sure how this was a problem with the users. They were simply having a conversation with each other, unaware that Alexa was misinterpreting their entire conversation as a series of repeated commands to it.

    Man, I hope and/or doesn't focus on the not-a-story Amazon Echo/Alexa "news" from today in tomorrow's coverage. It was not a problem with the device but with the users.
