    I just went next door to our own beloved Cathedral, Saint Patrick’s, to ask the intercession of Notre Dame, our Lady, for the Cathedral at the heart of Paris, and of civilization, now in flames! God preserve this splendid house of prayer, and protect those battling the blaze.

    Today Security Council: “During Romania’s chairmanship Commission, hearing the voices of women was high on our agenda. The topic Financing Gender Dimension of Peacebuilding was included in PBC annual session devoted 2 empowering youth & women in the Sahel”.

    Today in the Security Council I shared best practices : “In Afganistan RO provided Female Engagement Teams which interacted with local women, building trust & confidence in a very complex environment”. RO is a candidate 4 Security Council 2020-2021.

    Today in the Security Council meeting on - Women in peacekeeping operations, I underlined that “17% of RO peacekeepers are women, compared to the average of 13% level. UN objective for 2019 is 16%”. Romania is a candidate for Security Council 2020-2021.

    In UN Security Council on Women in Peacekeeping, cites "positive effects" on local populations that often accompany women's presence in peacekeeping contingents. Notes that regardingthe voices of women, especially from the Sahel, was a PB Commission priority in 2018.
