Just out of court on a case where the Home Office wants to remove a 78 year old woman with Advanced Alzheimer’s Dementia. They say she can be put in a care home in her own country for the time she has left. This is what Theresa May’s 2012 immigration rules mean.

Fuck yes. Everything about this thread. Corbyn binds himself to a definition of "working class" as only including white northern men at his own peril, for he threatens all of us if he does so.

This is a well researched thread skewering those who, today, are calling for a "no deal" EU withdrawal and somehow claiming that this is what "the people want." They are fanatics, wishing real, substantial harm on the people of the UK, based on an extremist ideology.

I want freedom of movement for the whole world, because no one is illegal.

Sorry folks, but a progressive, internationalist party that opposes Freedom of Movement is not a progressive, internationalist party. It is telling everyone but the rich, who can always buy FoM, “That world out there, is not for you. Shut up and be happy with your lot here.”

I suspect that underlying Brexshit anxiety is thedawning realisation that if those in power so royally fuck up an entirely revocable problem, how the HELL are they going to manage a just, timely & meaningful transition to a low carbon society? They aren't. It's up to us.

We'll wake up sometime middle of next week, everything Brexit will be decided, Theresa May will address the nation with the result and then say, in a decided and bright tone of voice, "and now for something completely different" and start talking about coastal erosion.

Really, it's perfect British humour. Keep repeating the slightly odd and annoying thing until the repetition itself becomes the joke.

She is attempting to pull Corbyn and Labour into the negotiations to tar them with the consequences of her failure. She is pushing the EU to abandon their clear position on another extension to make it look like we are victims.

Solar, wind, and batteries are about to enter their third, most disruptive phase yet. There's reason to believe their growth will accelerate, not slow. & that we'll phase out fossil fuel electricity at an incredible pace. A threid based on this post: 1/

I’ve tried to stay out of this beef, but fuck it... If you position migrants as an opposing force to the working class, colluding with elites to push down wages, you’re not a socialist. You just like your racism with a side portion of renationalised utilities.

This is the estate I grew up on, this isn’t new, it was happening then. This isn’t about ‘better’ policing. Continue to ignore the real issues like child poverty, systemic racism, deprivation, austerity and we’ll continue to see lives lost.

Tell me again that Brexit isn't racist. I've been told so many damn times that it's "not just about immigration" but here's Labour's one and only indelible red line, at the 11th hour when all the cards are clearly on the table. This is a permanent mark.
