    If you’re cold when you go outside, your and are too. Failing to provide adequate shelter for any animal is against the law. Call 911 if animal is in danger or 311 for a pet wellness check.

    Cats and dogs need humans to protect them from the bitter cold gripping the Chicago area. An amended animal protection law may have saved a few pets from freezing in this week's dangerous cold.
