    More people have been killed in India in one week of protests than in the Hong Kong protests over the past six months. It is probably coincidental that the states where the police have opened fire are ruled by the same party that governs at the centre.

    Heartbreaking calls from Muzaffarnagar and Kanpur. Locals are saying RSS members alongwith cops and local leaders are attacking Muslim localities. Families are leaving for safer places. Cars and houses are being burnt. Remember the initial days of Gujarat 2002.
