Currently, there are 17 large-scale #CarbonCapture plants in the world, sequestering 40 million metric tons of #CarbonDioxide in total—about 0.1% of total global emissions. @EIAgov estimates that the world needs to sequester about 6 billion metric tons of #CO2 by 2050 #EarthDay
