    Our working paper (joint with colleagues , and ) released by explores trade-offs between climate policy & economic development in Uganda. Still work in progress; critical thoughts/comments welcome.

    Carbon pricing reduces household welfare by up to 5% of expenditure, but has progressive effects on the distribution. Composition of energy and food demand shift, with switch to staple foods for poorer rural households but higher charcoal and meat consumption for middle class urban households in Uganda.
