    Since some folks have asked, I moved <code-block> out into its own repo and put it on NPM. LitElement based web component, with Prism.js dynamic loaded langs for all the colorful code highlighting.

    6 years after I began investigating I am still sold on them. It amazes me how many devs tell me they decided not to use them because of whatever reasons. There ARE a few legit reasons not to use them but do your due diligence in research. The rewards can be great.

    Apollo tooling for is great for robust apps , especially for ssr, but it is a lot of dependencies. I was surprised how simple and fast it was to build out GQL queries and requests in a vanilla client side app.

    After so many years of reviewing code, all I can say is please don't overcomplicate things. Introduce complexity where it is necessary. Aim for simplicity- but never at the cost of legibility.
