    If someone is deported, also leads the charge in letter writing and advocating on behalf of that person. The support does not end if someone is not released from their check-in.

    When accompanying someone for an hearing, you are often their only piece of humanity. This is especially so when they are brought into hearings in jail/prison jumpsuits or only allowed to “appear” video conference.

    There hasn’t been law passed since 1996. Those laws made it easier to people for misdemeanor crimes/crimes of moral turpitude. The aforementioned crimes usually affect POC and poor communities disproportionately.
