    To give this statistic some context (the absolute number got buried in the thread): 1% of biographies on English Wikipedia = over 16,000 articles. Thanks for your leadership, , and to all the volunteers behind this.

    🥳🎉Breaking news! As of today, 18% of the biographies on are about women! (it was 15% in 2015)
