Pleased to have a chapter in this. I offer 3 entry points into the infrastructural challenges in future cities: intersect between the built environment & marginalisation; digital infrastructures; decisions to mitigate climate change & build resilience. There are of course others

The Built Environment played its part in producing this little genius. But not in ways it should have! Kids need parks, not broken drains.

Measures to prevent in informal settlements can be a little difficult to achieve. We are working in Mathare, Kenya, to set up hand washing stations to help fight . These wash stations are set up at the one stop resource centre there.

Oh my goodness. We really do need to get ahead of this, but in appropriate ways. City-to-city sharing of best practices & lessons learned are URGENTLY required. Above all we need to be humane; we are all in this together.

don't 'just happen'. They result from human movement-into, out of & within cities. For econs of scale, but also constelations of knowledge. People build cities, but interactions in the built environment are political & shape culture. There is a constant urban-land nexus

In India, hardly ever. You will be surprised that in the late '70s in Kerala police weren't part of the District Road Transport Authority when it was police who were expected to enforce traffic regulations and regulate traffic! Things have changed & changing for the better.

Excellent ground report by on the mass exodus at Anand Vihar as buses prepare to take migrant workers home. "Our incomes have stopped since the Delhi riots...We tried staying here but we have no money left. I have two children."

The situation at Anand Vihar bus terminal is continuing into the night. can be seen doing a commendable job, but they too will need rest and respite. Critical that transport hubs are *properly lit*, with backup generators available. Stay safe
