WikiProject Linux is an attempt at creating a community of Linux Wikipedians to maintain and write for Linux articles on Wikipedia. The aim of this project is to make sure that all Linux articles are kept up to date, cited, clean, factually accurate and NPOV. For our purposes, "Linux" includes Linux distros, GNU coreutils, and of course the Linux Kernel. Applications that run on Linux may also fall within the scope. Related projects are WikiProject Free Software and WikiProject Computing. Some Wikipedians have formed a project to better organize information in articles related to Linux. This page and its subpages contain their suggestions; it is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians. State of affairs[edit]For now, we need to collaborate on getting the WikiProject organized and get a healthy set of articles/lists marked up with the Wikiproject template. In the future we plan to use this space to advertise a specific article that we want to get to see reach good article status. |
