    What’s been lost is that spirit that children are numbers. What’s been lost is the unawareness of the agenda. What’s been lost forever is professional teachers remaining silent about the plight of their most vulnerable charges.

    Only the mayor would mark the end of an intense two-week struggle for equity by blaming teachers for "what has been lost over the course of this strike." Both the CTU and CPS agree that this is an historic achievement that will truly transform our schools. Let the pettiness go.

    had denied cross country bc of strike policy. They will automatically be able to run in tomorrow’s sectional meet even though a different judge denied them to run in regionals bc of the strike.
