Since tootsuite/mastodon#4405 we are using the inert attribute for accessibility reasons in the modals. However, this is currently only supported in Google Chrome.

There are two polyfills which we can use:

• The official one from WICG - may incur a performance penalty

Expected behavior

Our usecase is as follows, we need to build and push the image with a calculated tag to a repository without deploying it immediately. The skaffold build command currently does not support the --tag flag same as the skaffold run, which makes our desired behavior quite impossible without generating a skaffold.yml for each build.

I think we should patch test/CMakeLists.txt to always use -Wall -Werror on *nix and the corresponding MSVC flags. It is way too easy to overlook a warning in the CI output as #1797 has shown.

This may be a somewhat complicated issue; basically read() is blocking, but we say it isn't. But... should it be? Should it have a blocking/non-blocking mode? Is it used consistently? Is it documented consistently?

In any case, it is a serious source of confusion.

We should probably do a pass of clean-up and verification of the Node() I/O API.
