    There’s a shameless smugness to the GOP’s absurd defenses of Trump. Take Kevin McCarthy who tweeted Sondland had zero evidence of Trump conditioning aid. There are mountains of evidence including Trump’s own call w/ Zelensky. Facts are becoming quite a nuisance for the GOP.

    This all comes back to President Donald J. Trump. He is the one who prevented the White House meeting. He is the one who withheld the military assistance. He is the one who asked Ukraine's President to investigate his opponent. He is the one who violated his oath.

    I’m not sure how you could watch the hearings today and conclude that the Republican Party is acting in “good faith.” And, importantly, I’m not sure how media can be expected to treat Republicans as if they are acting in good faith to fuel the both sides narrative.
