Should mouseWheel events propagate up the DOM or not? In Gecko they seem to (kinda), in Chrome/Safari not so much:

I ask because I don't think Intersection Observer is useful fo this scrolling list use case. Promoting it in the explainer seems misguided.

Does anyone have a good example of Intersection Observer being used for a dynamically paged scrolling list? I'm looking for something realistic: non-uniform item heights, support for jumping to arbitrary positions in the list.

Hey , any idea why Satori doesn't work on the iMac Pro with Mojave? I just get changing solid colors. Works fine in the little preview.

I just landed text-underline-offset and text-decoration-thickness support in WebKit! Now pages can fine-tune the placement/thickness of their underlines! 🎉🎉🎉

If you think something is CSS is “weird”. Have a look in the spec. Most of our specs have examples and extra explanations, to help you find out why that behaviour is as it is. Having learned why, you’ll be less likely to forget how to use it.

And do look in the spec. Don’t outsource your understanding to people who write articles. We miss things, we sometimes get things wrong, we show you the bits we think are important. We help get you started, the spec is where you get to be an expert yourself.

Generally the browser will only allocation layer memory for things visible or near the viewport, but stacking up a lot of elements in the viewport, or making lots of big canvases always requires lots of memory.

Do use the web inspector's Layer panel to sanity check layer memory on your site

Don't go crazy with large canvases (this seems to be a trend for progressive image loading)
