MLK would only be 91 if he hadn't been assassinated. I say only 91, because there are lots of 91 y/o's around. We often freeze him in Black & white because those are most of the pictures. It creates the impression he died 100 years ago. But he could still be here.

At the
#MLKNOW program@AOC said when she goes to protest for justice for Eric Gardner peacefully, police show up in riot gear. But when men with guns march for gun rights in VA there’s no police presence in sight. It all makes you wonder who they they intend to protect and servehttps://twitter.com/TalbertSwan/status/1219346044980551680 …

I was so inspired by
@Tiffanydloftin today at#MLKNow. This message right here on what freedom/liberation looks like was v excellent and v thought provoking. Love the emphasis on not just coming from a place of freedom FROM but freedom TO and FOR something.pic.twitter.com/Q5zBu4fGHrThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo -

There wouldn't be an America without us. The lie has been that our contributions, if any, were singing & labor...The most pivotal contribution is that we built this multi-racial democracy that we have. It wouldn't exist without our freedom struggles"-
