    I say “no exception” bc often police will put “clean” officers as the “arresting officer” to protect the arrest from cops on the team w/ bad records. Prosecutors all too often go along w/ charade. Or they’ll acknowledge prior bad acts, but claim nothing wrong w/ current arrest.

    We cant expect NYPD to take adequate action. But prosecutors have the power to render bad officers powerless. By saying “no” to any arrests that they are a part of w/ *no exception* theyll be unable to work. Which means they’ll be unable to hurt or lie any more people into court.

    I see Robert E. Lee is getting dragged on Twitter by a bunch of mouth-breathers who aren’t fit to lick the soles of his boots. This modern trend of dragging great men in history using today’s sensibilities is foul to me.

    Right now there is a chance to in NY. After years of organizing there appears to be enough support in the state legislature to end prolonged torture in NY jails and prisons.

    For the first time ever, after years of statewide organizing, there is enough support in NY's legislature to end the torture of prolonged solitary and replace it with more humane and effective alternatives by passing the the Confinement Act.

    Try to imagine. A single day in a cell only slightly bigger than average elevator. 22.5 out of 24 hrs/day. When out, small solitary cage. No recreation equipment. No group activity. No programs. No sky. It’s dark. Loud. Smells terrible. Multiply by weeks, months, years, decades.
