Thanks! Words matter. There's enough confusion about climate change without introducing words with double meanings. Here's my table with a citation. I've now identified 150 of them!

US Congress recently made its first foray into investigating fossil fuels, with leading the charge. My and 's message to Congress in The today is this: "Keep going. Because Big Oil is the new Big Tobacco."

As the planet warms, precipitation is projected to increase *especially in winter + spring* across northern Canada incl NL. And even tho it's warmer on average, it's still below freezing so much of that precipitation will fall as--surprise!--snow. Source:

The most important part of that muscular response is demanding climate action of elected officials/candidates and other senior government officials. Recycling may be a virtue, but muscular climate policy is necessary to protect our health, our climate, and our economy.

This is a good move. Carbon negative by 2030, and address their historical & legacy emissions by 2050. Sure, there are still questions about how they will do all of it. But such a move, absent any government policy telling them have to, is a big step in the right direction!

Nearly six in ten (58%) are now either “Alarmed” or “Concerned;” from 2014 to 2019, the proportion of “Alarmed” nearly tripled while Doubtful + Dismissive stayed the same. My take-home? 80-90% can be moved, big-time. Let's not waste our time on the rest. via

For the first time, the Alarmed are the single largest group of 'Global Warming's Six Americas' at 31%. Over the past 5 years, they have tripled in size and are now 3x the number of Dismissive in the US (who have decreased). Learn more:
