Out in today: "Declining CO₂ price paths" It introduces EZ Climate, a climate-economy model financial economists would recognize. It's joint with two stellar ones: Columbia's Kent Daniel & ex top Goldman Sachs risk manager .

Yet again, the IEA World Energy Outlook has revised its solar capacity growth figures upwards. As ever, it mainly puts this down to improved policy conditions rather than overestimated costs.

This is an early statement by Tukey that is almost the exact contradiction of something Levitt once said which was he’d rather have an exact answer to some question than an unknown answer to the right question. But I think the pendulum is swinging, particularly as methods improve

Vox “asked 9 experts” how best to spend money to fight climate change. They got eight different answers. A few thoughts...

It is typically the best, most senior scientists who can afford to sound the alarm the loudest, and who ought to. And many do. Thank you, late Wally Broecker, Steve Schneider, Marty Weitzman. And thank you to those alive & well: , et al.

Oddly framed, appearing to lay blame on climate scientists? Yep. Prescient and important, showing how consensus science is inherently (lower-case) conservative? Absolutely.

Troxler Symposium continues with discussing the social cost of carbon, climate policy and Climate Shock, his coauthored book with Marty Weitzman. Argues risk preferences imply $40 per ton of CO2 is a severe underestimate of the true social cost of carbon.Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium پر

A different perspective from the same talk ' Troxler Symposium. Every climate risk conference should be held at a 50,000-seat stadium.
