    I find it somewhat strange the mayor hasn’t been having private hospital reps at any of these briefings

    Hmmmm.... "There is no place in America you’d rather be right now" saying even though we have 150+ cases, we have best health care

    Williams joins other officials w citywide power (Stringer & Johnson), & other electeds, saying it’s time to move toward a school closure plan

    Council Member  has proposed a sensible solution that helps meet that goal, & we should build on it with a plan for getting all students & parent the services & support they need.

    This could go a long way to resolve Albany's budget crisis, at least in the short term. But Cuomo and the Legislature need to use the money wisely, or the Medicaid crisis will that much more painful when the 6.2 points goes away.

    Essential point from BdB re schools: if you close now amid growing pandemic you basically have to be open to keeping schools closed for the rest of the academic year and maybe the calendar year. He’s not ready to do that, but says of course conditions may change his mind.
