After 2.5 years of writing, rewriting, more rewriting, despair, and then more rewriting, DEMOCRACY IN ONE BOOK OR LESS comes one month from today! I'm very proud of this book. I hope it has answers. I know it has Polish vampires.

This story deserves more attention: naturalization ceremonies are on hold during the pandemic. That means 140,000 immigrants have been unable to become citizens, so they can't register to vote. That total grows by 2,100 each day. Just a bit suspicious🤔

Look for the "LIBERATE [state]" folks to point to any lower-than-expected numbers of new cases as vindication. But if a state's economy doesn't come back because people don't trust their government to keep them safe, reopening isn't working.

Trump is spreading lies about voting (again). ▶️Michigan is sending vote by mail applications, not ballots. ▶️This is exactly what several GOP secretaries of state are doing. ▶️It is completely legal and good policy. ▶️He can't hold up funding to prevent people from voting.
