    This is totally true, especially for young developers living alone. Easy to “accidentally” end up working super late just because of lack of alternatives.

    Time saved on commutes has turned into free overtime for employers. In the US we’re spending 3 hours more daily working. In UK & France it’s only 2. I started setting alarms on my phone after noticing my EOD tiredness from the extra hours. You should too.

    Sometimes I sympathize with this view of Twitter. Not always.

    If you think I am on Twitter to reconcile with gunlusting morons, you understand neither the purpose or efficacy of this platform. With regard to luring a single troll to intellectual maturity, there is no hope. Only here to use the mooks as props and rally the sane and sentient.

    Having said that, note that the data, while respectable, is *New York* data, so jurisdictions which are qualitatively different (climate, density, demographics) might expect different numbers. Or maybe not, we don’t know.
