We're worried that too many people are on the seafront making it hard to maintain safe physical distancing. We're also hearing that some people are not using the public toilets. It's not nice... 🤢 🙏 For the time being please stay away from Brighton & Hove.

As a country, we are being forced to pay intolerable price for Government defence of Cummings No minister is now able to say that rules must be followed - and as a result, more lives will inevitably be lost This is morally bankrupt

Covid-19 spreading too fast to lift lockdown in England. Agree with John & clear science advice. TTI has to be in place, fully working, capable dealing any surge immediately, locally responsive, rapid results & infection rates have to be lower. And trusted

Prisoners spend more time outdoors than many of our children - so this GCSE in natural history is urgently needed As Richard Louv said, we won’t protect what we don’t love, and we can’t love what we don’t know Privilege to work with on this

The Government MUST publish regional R numbers. If the R number in county Durham, the SouthWest, or London is above 1 - and I mention those places because there is evidence it IS, for each of them - then it is TOTALLY inexcusable to relax any lockdown measures there. >Please RT<

. thinks Boris Johnson exemplifies the qualities listed by Kipling in 'If'. I beg to disagree. In fact I adapted the poem to fit him better.

Really worried that the PM is easing lockdown too soon & taking another huge risk with people’s lives Many scientists saying we should have waited until infection rates were lower, and that a robust test & trace scheme needs to be in place first

I’m glad Sunak has listened to calls for security for self-employed & is extending scheme But was never equivalent to furlough as many excluded, so reducing it on those grounds is disingenuous Loopholes must also close as they've left some with nothing

✅flexible furlough sooner ✅ delay to employers paying more ❌no long term sector-specific taper ❌no clarity for businesses that can’t get back to normal by autumn

Sunak’s plan to trigger furlough contributions from *all* employers from Sept is hugely damaging Most in arts & leisure sectors still unlikely to be back in business by then After rightly supporting them during crisis, Chancellor risks pushing them out of lifeboat

Fab idea & truly brilliant piece from This is different from mundane duplicity: “It reaches into innermost experiences of millions of people. It cuts through to the pain of a loved one dying alone ...it grabs hold of that torment & it squeezes the meaning out of it”

This new date for UN climate summit must not mean we lose a year for vital action on Govt must use the next 18 months to get the UK’s house in order. It should start now with commitment to a from Covid crisis
