    "tryanny!" they cry at the suggestion of common sense gun regulation "..." crickets they chirp when a legal gun owner is killed by agents of a tyrannical state while defending his home in the middle of the night

    The NRA is silent when it comes to inequalities in gun ownership. When Black men and women are murderered by police just by having a gun the NRA is quiet. They NRA is deafening otherwise.

    I submitted a “Do not send in the troops” op-ed to the to push back on the fascist NYT one. I wrote about some of the terrible, violent and racist things I witnessed in the Marine Corps. They just rejected it and did this instead.

    tl;dr: all that mlk stuff only worked because there were several black activists who were down to shoot shit up

    So much of history has been whitewashed for the sake of making it palatable for white consumption that we are starting to perpetuate things that are not only misconceptions, but outright lies. A lot of what you're told about protests, MLK, etc. is wrong. A thread.
