add_element!(mesh, elid, eltype, connectivity)
Add an element into the mesh. ´elid´ is the element id, ´eltype´ is the type of the element and ´connectivity´ is the connectivity of the element.

At least eltype needs to be defined more precisely. I guess it's a symbol :Seg2, :Tri3 and so on.

A while ago, I wrote the E++ recipe for the Spack package manager that has been committed to the main repo at spack/spack#2602 and was addressing #130 .

When I decorate a method with methodtools.lru_cache and then build sphinx documentation, the docstring shows as <methodtools._LruCacheWire object> rather than the documentation for the method in its docstring.

I think this type of problem is addressed here, but I can't figure out how to modify methodtools to fix the problem.
