I am trying to ignore files. The following parts of the gitignore format don't seem to work:

• negated patterns prefixed with !
• absolute paths starting with /: I tried paths relative to system root (/) and repository root (/home/USER in my case)

We need a small example showing how to use this function.

There is a need to cache certain directories outside the workspace. As it described in meltwater/drone-cache#106 (comment)

Introduce a mode to enable absolute path mode if a given mount path starts with /.
