    NYC Council Criminal Justice Chair says he and his colleagues demanded an end to solitary after died in solitary at Rikers. The Mayor finally committed to end it, with a plan due in September. It’s now September. Where’s the plan? Time for action.

    Akeem Browder lost his brother Kalief more than 5 years ago. Kalief suffered 2 years in solitary starting when he was only 16. He’s already gone, but Akeem is here fighting for other people’s siblings, parents & other loved ones still locked up. He demands end solitary.

    All facts, I’m not guessing nor repeating just what someone directly told me. I also worked behind the walls in various capacities for well over a decade. Where’s this “shift in ”, or the & often mention?
