Displaying a big article can be quite slow on a low-end device.
It can even crash the browser because of too much memory consumption.
Some optimizations are certainly possible, but not in the short term.

I suspect that the handling of images consumes a lot of resources.
An idea would be to do like most email clients do : first display the content without images, and allow the user to click somewh
