The Shift + Return isn't being checked as a possible duplicate shortcuts. Other combinations apparently are ok.
This caused a false impression that this shortcut wasn't working for a custom bind (as it was already bound to a different thing).

Overlays should never be empty, regardless of why they are empty (lack of data / user not logged in / etc). They should also not contain stale information.

For instance, if the draft overlay is set to be persistently on but there is not a draft in progress then there should be a message letting the user know that an empty overlay is completely normal. For every case where the overlay is current

Include an update button to perform a manual version check or at least better visualize and tell the user that a version check got performed (if there exist any working auto-update?!) and whether the running client version is the most recent.

I'm a little lost - is it working at all? Is there just no new version?! :)
