AbstractMachinesLab
Hello and thanks for supporting Abstract Machines!
My name is Leandro (@ostera) and I started Abstract Machines to focus my efforts in open source software.
These days I'm working to bring OCaml, one of the most mature and stable statically typed languages in the world, to the BEAM through the caramel project.
On the side I'm also trying to rethink some tools for the BEAM ecosystem from scratch, like crane, a build system inspired by Bazel and Dune.
In the past I've done things like:
- tldr.ostera.io, the first web client for the amazing TLDR Pages community
- Reason Design Patterns, a set of guides on how to write ReasonML code
- hotstuff, a composable static-document compiler
- reactor, a native actor runtime for OCaml
- Reasonable Coding, a live-stream of software engineering in practice
And I've worked as a software engineer for unicorn companies like Klarna, Spotify, and Erlang Solutions.
This time I'd like to do this on Patreon Github Sponsors to encourage you to help me find ways of doing things better. Be it with encouraging words, constructive feedback, beta-testing, or helping me get that extra Raspberry Pi to set up some cross compilation.
Whether you're just browsing or here to stay, I invite you to join me and we'll make something cool together!
