    Never forget that the US military murdered cameraman José Cuoso in Baghdad in 2003 and then the Bush administration conspired with the Spanish government to drop the case. We only know about this because of Julian Assange and Wikileaks.

    Also: is it me or was the Assange trial given very little coverage in the UK media? Surprising, as whatever you think of him as an individual if you value freedom of press and freedom of information his trial is unbelievably important

    If you favor Assange's prosecution or are indifferent to it, you're on the side of the Trump DOJ and Mike Pompeo, so I don't really think you're in much of a position to lecture about bad alliances. By contrast, the ACLU & all press freedom groups vehemently oppose it.
