    I cannot think of a better temporary home for the Toronto Blue Jays than the City of Buffalo. Normally, birds fly south for the winter. Toronto, it's time to fly south for the summer!

    We need to fully understand what happened in nursing homes, and we still need an independent investigation. The Assembly and Senate will hold hearings starting on August 3rd. Nursing home staff, residents, and families who lost loved ones need answers.

    In recent years, 20+ buildings in the Elmwood Historic District have been demolished. This house is next on the chopping block. Demolitions put the district, and the historic tax credits, at risk. The City of Buffalo must reform the preservation process to stop the demolitions.

    BREAKING: Due to power outage, multiple traffic signals remain out on Amherst, Colvin, Delaware, Elmwood, Hertel, and Parkside/Starin area. Motorists should use caution and treat as four way stop. Stop signs are in place in some locations.

    A reminder that we need to invest more in infrastructure upgrades in this country, & we need support from the federal government! The hot streak continues in WNY. Make sure you're checking on elderly neighbors. Don't forget, branches are open as cooling centers.

    Update from on North Buffalo power outage: 2 of 4 23kv cables supplying power to 3 substations burned out which required dropping of customers to prevent further damage at stations. 2,600 customers were restored and 8,000 are still without power. Area of impact:
