The instructions for User Attributes [1] is missing the bit about configuring a CachingPersonAttributeDaoImpl bean to merge the attribute source(s). The documentation in Confluence [2] about this should be migrated into this (or the appropriate) repo.

Add a browserslist configuration file (.browserslistrc) in root project to set default configuration.

Possible content :

Optional : remove browserslist configuration from each components

Currently CI tests only HSQL db, it would be good to test on more than one commonly used open source database to ensure compatibility.

Previously CI also tested with MariaDB https://github.com/uPortal-Project/uPortal-start/blob/98f803d138a2b788a89d21a5e0f5ffa0f4d883b0/.travis.yml#L35-L45
This didn't make the initial migration from Travis CI to GitHub actions, but could likely be adapted.
