if you are looking to contribute to Mind-Expanding Books, I would recommend focusing on improving the website which can be accessed at http://books.vishnuks.com/ (soon to get its own domain). The source code lives in /app directory.

Steps to Reproduce

Deprecation warnings are raised due to invalid escape sequences. This can be fixed by using raw strings or escaping the literals. pyupgrade also helps in automatic conversion : https://github.com/asottile/pyupgrade/ . I will raise a PR for this.
