Currently, we manually append the params to the url / query string using urljoin. Instead, we can send the query params in as a dictionary

Since health checks might be invoked from frontend dashboards, the core of sup could possibly be cross-compiled using Scala.js. Other modules like http4s-client, sttp and circe could benefit as well.
