    When the FCC, over my objection, rolled back its policies, states like California sought to fill the void with their own laws. Tonight a court in California decided that the state law can go into effect. This is big news for policy.

    For whoever is following this thread: We will be organizing a zoom or equivalent dial-in for MozYVR folks (and friends) in the next couple of weeks over some lunchtime. Everyone is on their own to get tacofino tacos or meat & bread sandwiches. 🌮🐷🥖

    Yes, business people around the globe have wilted when I explain that this is a key aspect of what makes "silicon valley" successful. They want the success but don't want management to have to deal with employees actually owning what's in their brains.

    Friendly reminder: Non-compete agreements are bad and should be abolished everywhere.

    Yes, thank you -- you've been focused on effective, verifiable elections for a long time, and that shows clearly in your work..

    Ben poked me a few years ago and said he felt called to do this. I of course supported him, but was also a bit skeptical—the window of time to make the necessary impact seemed implausibly small. And yet here we are. s
