This is the content I came here for. And by here, I mean into this world. An essay on "The Green Knight", easily one of the most interesting films I've ever seen.

I may or may not have found the first record of a certain snail species in Vermont, and the rest of the day really doesn't matter anymore, I've peaked.

I know a very dedicated Open Source Python dev looking for remote work. Does anyone have any positions open they could share?

In class we talk about how AIs often learn to cue on features we don’t want them to. For example, an AI to tell wolves from dogs looked for snow. I tried for the first time today; it’s clearly curing on the sand and water to suggest that this cowbird may be a gull!

Kinda psyched for all-masked showings of DUNE, very immersive Anyone unmasks, point at them and go "THEY SQUANDER THE WATER OF THE SIETCH" and challenge 'em to a crysknife duel

A friend is building out a policy for licensing scientific data going into a USGS database; does anyone have advice on whether CC licenses work for community science data, or where I could find more information on data licenses and user agreements?
