    Did you know Terry Fox attended ? In 1977 he was an 18-year-old first year kinesiology student when he was diagnosed with bone cancer and went on to create the Marathon of Hope.

    This day in history: The Marathon began on April 12, 1980, when Fox dipped his right leg in the Atlantic Ocean near St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, and filled two large bottles with ocean water.
