Mark Zuckerberg and his family's security are apparently worth several million per month but Facebook is more than happy to throw marginalized people's lives under the bus on a daily basis.

I’ll call it cancel culture trope 9: Encyclopedia Problematica. There is a parallel between “diet Nazi” Internet (8chan/ED/KF doxxers) and Twitter wokescolds in this tactic of anthologizing a person’s entire history of misdeeds & embarrassments, and weaponizing it to harass them.

I mean my real answer is cause it’s a Potemkin Supreme Court that’s mostly about providing PR cover for FB and not about seriously mitigating the harms of FB?

  10. How about we charge people more for not wearing a mask than we do for not paying fare? A mask is ~88€, fare is minimum 3€. Logic. Yes, I know different people make the rules.

The posters may have been put up by extreme right racists, but in Denmark, this is official policy. Says much about the ugly face of Danish society when the extreme right mirrors government policy. They’re not even ashamed about it.

Now, over 1 million people have died from COVID-19 in Europe. And about 1.6 million new cases are reported here each week.

Ultimately this shows the tensions in moderating something so big as IG. What convos like these miss is that kids have as much a right to being on IG as those who share nudity, sexuality or other “borderline” content for FB. For now, the rights of the latter have been overlooked.
