HTTPCore has support for anyio, but we don't document it yet: https://www.python-httpx.org/async/#supported-async-environments

IMO there are two things to document:

  • HTTPX can work with programs that run under anyio, since it'll auto-detect the async environment and use the one set by anyio.
  • For maximum consistency, HTTPCore can be told to use anyio internally by passing `backend

Example of usage:

users = await User.filter(first_name__ilike="c%r")

I know this can be done with startswith and endswith, but there are cases where using the LIKE operator is better:

users = await User.filter(first_name__ilike="j_r%")

This would be used to match Jeremy, Jorge, Jordan...
