    Again, if the job of a police officer is to show up to hairy situations, freak the f*** out & make a panicked decision about whether to draw a taser or a gun, then just hand these weapons out to everyone & let them solve the conflicts themselves b/c, seriously, wtf???

    If the police solution to fights and other conflict is to either taser or shoot people, you might as well just let people fight in the streets without any interference from the state. That makes no sense.

    If the police way of handling every situation is to shoot people, why do we need police? We’re saying it’s awful when kids kill each other with guns, so we’re going to have the state authorize an adult to jump in and kill a child instead???

    Less than lethal force and the girl in pink might have been dead. Far from being a travesty this was a great action by Columbus police. Even soft, Dem mayor Gunther has to back his cops on this one.

    This is exactly what I’m talking about. These officers need to be taken off the street IMMEDIATELY. I mean this very hour.

    In 99% of police brutality complaints made to the city, police officers' use of force is found to be justified. Just 6% of officers make up more than 50% of all use of force incidents in the city.

    Earlier today a Columbus Ohio cop killed 15-year-old Ma'Khia Wright. The Columbus PD is one of the most racist and brutal in the country. Since 2013, they have killed more children than any other police department in the country, except the Chicago PD.

    what scares me about is that I too am a black teenage girl. her calling the police for help that’s how my parents have taught me to handle situations. how are we supposed to feel safe in our communities when calling out for help gets us shot & killed? Say her name!
