Did you know you can talk with people about things not related to work and still get all your work done?

Rick Santorum: “There is no Native American culture.” Tucker Carlson: “Hold my white nationalist talking points!” Tucker Carlson is out here telling his viewers to harass kids & he will still have a job tomorrow. This is how a system of white supremacy works.

Many founders get so used to everybody around them agreeing with their perspective that they struggle to cope when this invariably changes. Hence the drive to return to an imaged “simpler time” when there were no disagreements and everybody was focussed on “the mission”.

Much, much harder to use your voice and influence to lead versus just partake in the status quo.

Just because you’re white, male, cisgender, heterosexual, non-disabled, etc. does not mean you are somehow “apolitical.” Just like everyone else, every decision you make involves politics—where you live, where you shop, who you socialize with, etc.

When you talk abt keeping politics out of work spaces it shows you haven’t grasped/done the basics. Existing as disabled, LGBTQ, a women, POC, and esp as a Black person (& any intersections) is automatically political. Because our rights/existence is up for debate. Yours isn’t.

Yep. “Ally” is not a badge, it’s a term that can only be assigned to you by someone else who recognized a specific action that you did as an act of “allyship.” And it does not apply to you beyond that single moment.
