Hi. I'm John and I'm a Software Engineer 😄.

I'm primarily working on infrastructure and I'm very interested in systems programming. My daily driver is NixOS - you should check it out, it's awesome ✨. If you're like me, you've thought long and hard about how you could distill your laptop (or server) configuration into a git repo which you could just "apply" to any new or current machine in a completely reproducible fashion while keeping it up to date via git. Well - NixOS is the distro for the next ten years if you have such thoughts ⚡.

Working with infrastructure today basically means working with Kubernetes. And that's true for me as well. I like thinking about the bigger picture and how things fit together. So both deployment pipelines and microservice architectures interest me.

Emacs is better than Vim :neckbeard:.
