    A cyclist churns his way up NM 14, south of Tijeras. Snow from Wednesday’s storm is still evident on the sides of the road, as well as the distant Sandias. With warmer weather here this weekend more cyclists can be expected out on NM 14. Please share the road.

    Design Deficiencies…. Yeah we fix that too! District One Heavy Maintenance has been hard at work installing curb and gutter at the NM 227 Vado Interchange. Erosion was a concern around the light poles. Best fix, install curb and gutter to direct water away from area.

    State Police are conducting saturation patrols throughout April looking for drunk drivers. There is no excuse for driving under the influence. Plan ahead, designate a sober driver or call a ride sharing service. Stay safe.

    A lot of snow out on I-40, west of Albuquerque. Check before getting out on the road for the latest road conditions. Remember to not crowd the plow - allow them room to groom.

    NMDOT’s Hatch Patrol repairs the guardrail over I-25 after crashes over the weekend damaged them. The patrols will remove and replace the tangled guardrail and install steel posts. This hard-working crew works quickly and could have this project finished quickly.
