    Last night, Russia bombed civilian centers in all Ukraine's currently 24 regions. Everybody sees it as Putin's personal revenge for Ukraine's sinking of the cruiser Moskva, which he does not recognize. How can Russia be ruled by a tyrant with the mindset of a toddler?

    On a consulting job in Rwanda a few years ago, I - a privileged, white World Bank contractor - was warned not to leave the hotel unless I was actively cleaning the street. I'd be arrested and worse. Unpleasant to imagine how Kagame's regime will treat people they can pick on.

    Effective moderation is not inherently in conflict with free speech. It is required for people to feel free to speak. Anyone who doesn't get this has a high school stoner level grasp of societal issues and has never spent 5 min working on trust & safety.

    I am begging news outlets to stop talking about asylum-seekers "arriving illegally". There's no such thing; if you are seeking asylum, you are not breaking the law however you arrive. No excuse for getting this wrong; experts have been correcting it since I was a child.
