CFP open check should respect conference timezone

Current behavior:
The check for open? on a CFP uses Date.current.

Expected correct behavior:
This should use the current conference timezone.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set a CFP end date
  2. The the server to UTC
  3. Set the timezone of the conference to somewhere else

White image on transparent background becomes "all-white" in the preview

Problem you are facing

When I upload a white image with transparent background, the image becomes "all-white" in the preview.

Possible Solution

Add a checkered grid background below the transparent images.
