The best reporters are those who don’t stop at the first story. After her exclusive with on Noel Clarke, first wrote about industry-wide structural problems that enable predators… and now has another scoop.

Proud of my Guardian investigations colleagues for this nomination for their exposure of Tory cronyism during the pandemic. A real team effort by more people that I can fit in a tweet. But  and were particularly indefatigable.

This ruling is a big deal. It is also vindication for and for bringing the legal challenge. And credit to and for bringing the apparent cronyism to light in the first place.

Revealed: The Queen’s courtiers banned “coloured immigrants or foreigners” from serving in clerical roles until at least the late 1960s (and possibly until more recently). Another Royal scoop from and on .

Credit to The Times for publishing this investigation into shocking allegations against Charlie Hanson, who has been removed from Netflix. Notable that after the Noel Clarke story Hanson said abusive behaviour in the industry is “not confronted enough”.

In the wake of the Noel Clarke story, , and I ask: where next for the UK film and TV industry? And more importantly - did people know about Clarke's alleged behaviour?

I get that politicians can’t always be trusted to be straightforward with the truth. But if Cummings is right here, it follows that scientific advisers and civil servants will presumably have known the truth and been complicit in misleading the public.

The Guardian repeatedly maintained that ‘herd immunity’ was initially part of the government’s planned response to Covid-19, despite the categorical and on the record denials from Hancock and Downing St spokespeople.
